National program authorized by U.S. Congress. Open to youth ages 13½–24 who complete long-term goals in voluntary service, personal development, physical fitness, and expedition. Fewer than 500 Gold Medals awarded annually nationally.
Completed over 500+ hours of volunteer service, 500+ hours of personal development, 200+ hours of physical fitness, and a multi-day expedition. Earned Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. Recognized by Congresswoman Norma J. Torres in a ceremony covered by major media.
The ceremony was covered by the World Journal in its LA Events section on April 17, 2025. Sarah continues to encourage and mentor SLAC members, inspiring them to work diligently toward achieving similar awards and honors.
